Here you will find a model-specific CANBUS interface for auxiliary lights for Volkswagen Caddy from 2021 onwards. This interface is the perfect and safest solution for connecting auxiliary lights or an LED light bar to your car with CANBUS light monitoring.

CANBUS interface auxiliary lights Volkswagen Caddy

Our CANBUS interface for Volkswagen Caddy is designed to simplify the installation of extra lighting. The interface reads the car's CANBUS system and sends out a clean +12V control signal to an external relay kit. This makes your auxiliary lights turn on and off together with the car's standard high beams. If the car is equipped with adaptive high beams, this smart function will also work with the retrofitted lights.

The installation is done by connecting the interface to the car's CAN HI and CAN LO. A hidden LED indicates the status and confirms contact with the vehicle's system. The interface provides five clearly color-coded wires for a smooth connection:

  • RED - Connects to +12V from the car's battery/positive terminal (fused 5A)
  • BLACK - Connects to a ground point/negative terminal on the car's battery
  • WHITE - Connects to CAN HI (connection point is specified in the installation manual)
  • BLUE - Connects to CAN LO (connection point is specified in the installation manual)
  • PURPLE - Connects to the external relay kit's input 85 (control current/trigger for the relay), which provides +12V (maximum 1A)

Flashing red LED indicatorFlashing red: The CANBUS interface has contact with the car and is checking the vehicle status
